Thanks, Rob! Rocketeer took place in the late 30's. The Nazi threat was a part of the book. Here is the David Lloyd piece Joe picked up for me.

I like the concept of the Rocketeer piece but it does make it confusing having Bettie say "Daddy-O" and then have Elton John playing. Jumping from the '30's to '50's make the "future" comment work but mixing too many eras seems to be going on.
Always like Pelletier stuff and the Alpha Flight is no exception. Is it deliberately an homage of the old AF house ad? It seems familiar.

You guys are too bloody nitpicky. The theme requires it to have something from the future and the past and including references from the 50s and 70s works for me. Its a fun piece and a great take on my iPod theme. I love it!

Brian, I think it is a wonderfully drawn piece. My apologies if it came across as if I disliked it. Andy, I just asked for my favorite five Alpha Flight characters.

Pelletier's work is damn addictive for me. I marvel at each new piece that I see.

When I set this up for Paul with Pelletier I specifically asked for "Byrne" Alpha Flight. He gave me a look of "what else would I do but that?". I believe that is why it has that familiar feel to it. I love Pelletier as JB and Alan Davis are his top two influences so his art is almost always on model. Refreshing really.

Paul's Alpha Flight is really nice! I think I drooled on it a little.
Funny that you posted the Lloyd sketch I got for you and I didn't even recognize it! I realize now he doodled it in your sketchbook, closed it up and handed it to me and I just immediately passed it over to you without even looking at it! I assumed it was the same as mine but it's actually very different! Neat!

Really, really enjoying all the art that's been posted recently. Thought I'd share some recent sketch cards I've gotten. First, my Hero Initiative card for this year:
Next, Swamp Thing by Cory Carani that I got on FCBD:
