Not yet! My credit card's fraud department was alerted by the price and the fact that it's a foreign purchase, so I had to call them and approve it.

Obviously Mr. Sepulveda felt bad and sorry as he presented this to me today to make me feel better. Not sure if I like the "Blackest Night" approach he took, but he did bring Richard Rider Nova back for me. Beggars can't be choosers.

Very nice attempt at consolation.  Your collection is fun to see and something I would try if I had any money.  Was talking to Chris Marinnan at the Big Wow show in San Jose last weekend but couldn't swing an original page or sketch.

Have you been to the Nova Prime page?  All Nova fans should check out the hard work Doug has put into it.

Believe me, I had been saving for months to start my collection. I'm sure it will only be once a year that I can afford to by any other original art. I think if I had a chance for a Marinnan Nova I may have asked if he took charge cards! I will check out the page you mentioned also. Thanks!

Very cool stuff showing up lately. Congrats to everyone and their new purty pictures. Knowing that ship model might still be out there has to be an interesting thought. Does anyone know if ships from the Hampson studio still exist somewhere?

*edited Hampton to Hampson =/

A couple of pieces I picked up at Big WOW! ComicFest:
Iggy Pop by James O'Barr (Iggy was one of the inspirations for the Crow,
specifically how he moves)

Heritage 1B "Even Legends May Die" page 3 - Esteban Maroto (This was a 5
page story in the 70s Flash Gordon fanzine)

Rob - quick note on Rosa:  sketches are free but you need to supply the paper.  Be prepared. :-)

Well this thread has been on fire! Everyone is showing off some impressive art.

JB, those Dan Dare pages are gorgeous. Congrats on your latest addition.

Rob, you scored some nice stuff. The Zombie-Nova takes the prize as my favorite of the bunch. The Saviuk piece is a close second!

Joe, I don't know how Barry got the Lobo piece back. He gave it to Raspler when he was his editor on L.E.G.I.O.N. Barry told me it was hung in Raspler's office for a period of time. That is why it has fun tac stains on the back. I will ask when I see him again on how it came back to him. Amazing pick ups across the board. I love the Popeye! Keep those JB tributes coming!!

I was carrying a few comic boards with me for that purpose. I hope I can catch him at another con. My daughter loves Scooge.

*** Thanks Paul! While I love that piece and the Saviuk, I thought Barry's Green Goblin was the the best of the bunch. He really made him look sinister!(My son would not trade for the Barry Nova):)
