I really like that Ordway Cap pic posted at the top of the thread.
I read a post (from Ordway) that he no longer gets work from Marvel or DC. That's really too bad. He's a solid artist.

Waaayyy back when...I had a classmate who's Grandpa was Gill Fox, a cartoonist for such publications as The New Yorker Magazine, etc. I stared at this thing for years, and yesterday, my parents moved a rock from a cave's mouth and resurrected it for me! It's about 8" x 10" on a very nice board with a grainy yet non-porous surface that he used blue-pencil to roughly draw on, and then inked over with a paintbrush. "Most of my cartoons are for older people.", he told me that day in the park when we raced to a picnic table (and I was as insistent as a ten year old can be that I WON!) Still gets me that he found one from his collection featuring kids from 1967, and signed it to me in 1979. Enjoy!

Oops...I guess he was more than just a one panel cartoonist. This guy worked on the SPIRIT, PLASTIC MAN, and more!

I first discovered Romero's AXA british newspaper strip back in the 80s when Axa First American Edition Series reprinted it for the american audience and after that Eclipse came out with 2 AXA comics by Romero.Over the last year I have been buying AXA strips from Romero (he has a CAF gallery) and had gotten an iBod and other AXA commission from him. Been thinking about getting something very different from him, a strip commission . The idea started with the last few panels which was inspired by an early Macintosh commercial Apple produced. From there the idea grew to include AXA discovering Apple Campus (where I work), strip takes place in 2080. I took reference pics for Romero and fleshed out the scene, starting with her waking up in a once panel strip and finding the Apple Company Store (1st Apple Store). Adding in the iMac and iPad. Left it up to Romero to come up with the action scene.Romero took my ideas and brought it to life, turned out better than I ever expected. A dream project, Romero was great to work with. I highly recommend getting a commission from him, he is still at the top of his game.
Here is all 5 strips
