The Sandman. I'm hoping John B. will one day continue commissions, I'd love to request the rest of the Sinister Six.

I don't think I've seen a 'tones' commission from JB that hasn't impressed me. Awesome Sandman. And you get to enjoy it in person every day!

That's the best Sandman I've ever seen. The grey tones really make it.

I'm so glad that I'm a proud owner of a grey-tone commission, myself. It took seeing Flavio's (I think) AF#13 dream sequence commission to realize that that's what I needed for the AF#12 commission I've been wanting to request for years, but I was stuck on the the feeling that it needed some sort 'oomph'. I wasn't expecting it being put to such good use on civilian clothing (Heather's sweater)!

Here is my one and only JB commission piece.  The instructions were to have classic era Guardian and Sasquatch fighting 70s era Hulk in the Rocky Mountains.  I LOVE THIS PIECE!!

It's displayed proudly in my office at work!

Hahaha!  I love that version of Captain America from the movie.  Why don't you like that Cap John?

The filmmakers changed Cap’s outfit saying they “wanted something that looked like it had been designed in the Forties.”

Er.........

They also took a moment to mock Joe Simon’s actual design.

I didn't pick up on the slight to Simon's design when I watched it. I just LOVED seeing all the stuff leading up to that ugly new costume design.

I LOVED seeing the original design of Captain America in the movie. I would have liked to have seen his ears... but it was pretty damn accurate to me.  I loved seeing the propaganda films of him and I loved seeing him in that rescue costume with the helmet and shield (similar to the Ultimates version). I disliked the final suit design with the covered ears and denim look.  I've grown to accept it... but loved the stuff with the original design the best.

I didn't know the film makers were so dense as to think his original design wasn't 1940s enough. lol

Except you didn’t. Even as they mocked it, they took steps to make the costume look dumb. The baggy cloth around the neck for instance.
