I had missed these "play-sets" when they first came out in 1997.  I was able to locate two of them at a LCS.  I could not wait to get them freed from their packaging.

Looks like the 1980's TV anime series version of THE DIRTY PAIR will be released in Japan as action figures (scanned from the October 2011 issue of Hobby Japan magazine).

The extras will include alternate faces, and both Mughi and Nammo (the latter being the inspiration for the Exocomps from STAR TREK: TNG 'The Quality of Life').

Well, it'd be nice if they had an alternate right hand without the gun, but if they come out with the girls in the PROJECT EDEN movie outfits, I'm there!

The Dirty Pair look great. The seams and joints suggest it's not a Figma production, though.

Joe, you're right: Those are not Figmas.

They're being done by a company called CMS Corporation, for a line of figures called Gutto Kuru (I've never heard of them until now):

Based on their Gunbuster Noriko Figure, I think the price will be well over $100 before shipping.

I took the plunge and bought my first Bowan statue, the Classic Doctor Doom. I thought it looked pretty good. Took me a bit to figure out how to get it back in the box, the guy at the shop and me took about five minutes to figure out that the right hand comes off.

Funny as that was my first Bowen statue as well. It's a nice one isn't it?

It's weird about the box tho, it says it's the modern version on the box, but the classic is the one I have. I wonder if they got two and put the other one in the wrong box.

This version is my favorite, thank goddness it's not the Flash version.

Just noticed their Noriko Gunbuster figure the other day, looks like the poseable figure line is the way they're going now in Japan, nice to see a company focusing on the older anime series of all the Figmas, Lum is one of the few I don't like the look of.

Heh, believe it or not, there was an attempt to jump-start the DP series again last year with a new manga adaptation.  Not sure how successful it was...

This forum has been a bad influence on me, I picked up the Hard Hero Captain America statue today. I've been eyeing it for a while now, so I took the plunge. Bad forum!
