I guess we'll classify this one under "other toys"...
It's a dinosaur bone! A former student of mine who is now a paleontologist/geologist brought this to me from a recent expedition out west. He says it is hard to be sure but it is probably part of a vertebrae belonging to some sort of sauropod. Possibly a Camarasaurus because theirs are among the most common fossils found in that area. Jurassic Period, something like 150 million years old. Pretty cool I think!

Pretty cool indeed. I also have a dinosaur bone, and hardly a day goes by that I don't pause to look at it, and find myself ever-so-slightly overwhelmed by the sheer weight of age in the thing. I lay a hand upon it, and can almost feel all those millions of years stretching back, one upon another, to a time when this creature was alive, and the earth shook when s/he walked by.(The bone is from an Apatosaurus -- tho I insist on still saying Brontosaurus dammit!!)

Brontosaurus still sounds right to me too, JB! The worst thing is, kids these days only know them as "long necks", ugh....
Anyway, I think it's awesome that you appreciate such things.

Anyway, I think it's awesome that you appreciate such things. •• Few things bring upon me a greater sense of hopelessness for the future of the human race, than contemplating the number of people who apparently DON'T appreciate such thing!

I guess the Kaiyodo Revoltech Sheriff Woody has become an international hot seller, but for all the wrong reasons... Always wondered why Pixar signed off on that particular facial expression, since it appeared only once at the beginning of the first movie...

The Syroco figures are really neat. They come in this cool tin box with a neat premium type pin. I have a few myself.

I got this a while ago. Although, it is from the inferior re-make of King Kong, I just love the image. There is a lot of detail on the plane.

I had absolutely NOTHING to do with the creation of The Disco Dazzler.
Wonder why no one has ever tried to kill that character off, talk about doing everyone a favor.

Dazzler wasn't a "favorite" of mine, but I certainly enjoyed the comic when it first came out.
