It looks like she's just hatched out a egg while being held by some giant rock monster•• The egg I got -- tho it makes no sense to me -- but it had not occurred to me that was a monster's hand until I read your comment. Then I looked at some of the other images, and lo and behold. . . I wonder if it is supposed to be the monster from the first issue cover? Whatever it is, while this is a cute sculpt, it's not Sue. Which is unfortunate. Altho the others in the series have been "off model" stylistically to some extent, they have tended to capture the essence of the character. This is just some chick in an FF uniform knock-off.

Well, sorry, but that hand is WAY off scale, then. And I STILL don't get the egg!!

Seems to me the "Egg" is obviously parts of her force field, either starting up or shutting down.

egg...
broken parts of an invisible shield bubble?
Lady GaGa leftover?
One problem is that the force "bubble" should AT LEAST be cast in the same clear plastic as the figure. Having it painted white = fail. Really, it should just be removed completely. It takes away from the Mole Man monster's hand, and doesn't read well at all.
I'm still confused about why she's holding her hair that way... this one's a pretty good entry into the museum of "bad statue design".

To me, it looks as if what appear to be bits of shattered eggshell are Sue's forcefield forcing back and prying open the fingers of the (yes, severely off-scale) Mole Man's Monster from the cover of FF #1. She's created just enough of the field to press back against the surface area of the monster's fingers, rather than encasing herself inside a full expanding sphere. And then she's taking time to pose, 'cause she's cool... I think it's kind of a cute idea, but that said, that's not how I would have gone with it...

And as to the hand…
Have to give this particular sculpt a complete failing grade.

Ha, yeah I agree with JB on this Invisible Woman. And, guys, I did get instantly that the "egg" was supposed to be her force field coming up or down.

I did get instantly that the "egg" was supposed to be her force field coming up or down.•• Those who see Sue's forcefield in that broken egg must possess powers of perception far beyond mine. I've drawn the character hundreds of times, and read even more comics in which she has appeared that I did not draw, and not once, ever, have I seen the forcefield portrayed as white (or eggshell blue!) with ragged edges. The original artwork for this sculpt even portrays it looking more like a splash of water!!

I got that it was "supposed" to be some kind of odd Japanese manifestation/perception of Sue's shield, I'll put it like that. ;)
