Bowen Captain Britain Modern Version Sneak!

More and bigger pics here... http://www.statuemarvels.com/f87/marvel-bowen-designs-inc-ca ptain-britain-painted-12425.html

Randy Bowen also posted the following polls...

Poll: Captain Britain in metallic paints? http://www.statuemarvels.com/f87/shouild-captain-britain-fs- painted-metallics-12427.html

Should original Captain Britain be made? http://www.statuemarvels.com/f87/should-original-captain-bri tain-made-12428.html

While I think this Modern version looks fantastic, I'm holding out for the 70s version!

I love how a costume Captain Britain has not worn for neigh on two decades (Longer than the gap between the first costume and that one) is still called the modern version. Although I do think there should have just been the original and that one - I didn't even like the Alan Davis redesign let alone the rubbish that has come since.

I love the Captain Britain statue, it's a must have for me. I like that it captures the size and built of Captain Britain as Alan Davis drew him, which doesn't always happen.

Shazam!

Cheetah

Mattel's Mego revival continues to hit all the right notes for me: it's almost like travelling back in time when I see these toys!

In regards to the Bowen Capt. Britain- my hopes are also for a 70's version and sceptre.........

Re: Mattels Retro Superhero line, love em! Bringing back so many good memories. If they'd come out when i was a kid i would have lost my mind. I had to make do with Penguin and Mr Mxypetliyx (whatever) for my stable of bad guys, weak sauce! I have them all so far, waiting for Capt. Marvel , Black Adam and The Martian Manhunter to come any day now i suppose....... passed on Darkseid....wasn't nuts about the puffy body solution they've employed to do a "big" guy...... Man I wish Marvel would jump in on this bandwagon....can u imagine the retro goodness that would bring.... just in Spidey villains alone? Kraven, Doc Ock, Mysterio, The Beetle!!!!!!!!

Captain Marvel is.... better. Thanks for the pix. I guess I'm 8 figures behind now...
Now where's the $160 I left lying around here...  :)

I've got 2 waves of DC Universe packaging lying around the studio... Guess it's time to take out some garbage.

Another SF Revoltech has been revealed for a May 2011 release:  The 1967 version of Gamera.

[Tokusatsu Revoltech Link]

It may be due to trying to be visually faithful to the original Gamera design, but the articulation points look kinda bad on this figure, compared to the modern Gamera that was released a year ago.
