These might be better suited for 1/24-scale vehicle displays and dioramas than superhero statue accessories (and maybe cheaper if available in the States), but I thought these resin replica kits of U.S. vending machines, pay phones, newspaper dispensers, etc., would be fun to look at: [HLJ Link]

I've already have the smaller "Soul of Chogokin" version from Bandai that came out a couple of years ago, so I'll have to happy with that. (Would have liked to have gotten the "extras" that comes with this version though)

I'm not fond of the head, but the body (especially the arms) is pretty neat.

Um, what's that sticking out below it's waist??? *** Well, those waist spikes are suppose to be the launcher points for the Megadeus' rocket anchors, but that front one looks a bit... Uh, different from the anime version:

@ J Byrne
The SS uniform says evil like nothing else really can. The robe and cravat looks more pretentious than evil. I think I remember a panel with him dressed in a turtleneck with big red swastika on it too with black pants and dress type shoes. You know the sweaters with the patches on the elbows and shoulders.
The Red Skull is the icon of evil and Captain America is the icon of good and righteousness. I don't think they should be diluted so they have mass appeal. That look on Skulls face though makes it hard to resist. He looks like someone either did or said something stupid.

…but that front one looks a bit... Uh, different from the anime version…•• I wouldn't say that, based on the small profile shot of the torso minus head, arms and legs. I'm still waiting for Dorothy!

wow. probably end up being $500 once it's shipped... *** Pretty close. HLJ currently has it at 10% Preorder price of $414.73 [HLJ Link] Problem is, since it's over 2 lbs and 15,000 Yen, the economy SAL shipping rate might not be used. A person may automatically get it via EMS in 4-7 days, but with a $45-$50 shipping rate, instead of $15 shipping at 20+ days. Also, the Yen / Dollar exchange rate may change between the time its preordered and the time it ships. *sigh* I normally wouldn't complain about having it automatically go EMS shipping for merchandise $200 and more, but it can get irritating for something under $100 having a $45 shipping fee just because it was oversize or slightly overweight.
