Sebastien - not jumping on William's toes, but I think the Mayor was part of an SDCC exclusive boxed set of figures. William can jump in an tell me if I'm wrong, but I also think the set came with a Dr. Doom that had the Infinity Sword.

Brad: I think the Mayor was part of an SDCC exclusive boxed set of figures.

Yup, Brads correct. I found someone on ebay that started the bidding at .99 and was lucky not to have anybody else run the price up!

But, THIS is what the Dr.Doom looks like...

Love it - that Dr. Doom is awesome! I see that you let your kids play with them.  Do you keep any for yourself that you do not let them play with?  My wife says that I am collecting them through my son, who LOVES the show. I have denied her allegations, even if they are true...hehehe

Ah! Yes! I knew there was something special about the Doom.

I don't personally collect these things, so knowing which set/series/exclusive came out when is beyond my ability. I wish I did though, because that Doom is AWESOME. Look at the detail of his slippers!

My wife says that I am collecting them through my son

****************

"Living vicariously" is a phrase heard often around my house with regards to my boy and me.  Just because he has a bunch of super heroes, Star Wars toys, Legos, etc...OK, she may have a point.

Ryan and JB - LOL

My wife keeps saying to not invest too much into stuff like that for my son, as he'll eventually grow out of it and I'll have to (apparently) sell all of it. Selling toys - that's crazy talk!  Fortunately, I also have a youngest son who is 15 months and will soon enough be in the right age for super heroes! It's a vicious cycle but I'm diggin' it! :-)

New arrival, a nicely detailed naked Bugatti chasis in 1/18th scale...

Which my camera was capable of closer focus. The details really are quite exquisite.

And since we like to show out display cases, here, this is where it now lives…

Running out of room in there, too! Need to find a way to add some shelves.

I do like that alcove, the display cases fit in there perfectly.

Well, my brother's X-Plus 1962 Godzilla vinyl figure arrived yesterday, but since it wasn't packed in a show-box, this is the best I can do (my X-Plus 1989 Godzilla box on the right side for comparison):
