Al Burr - Thanks for posting that pic of the SOC Yamato aka Star Blazers Argo! I ordered mine awhile ago from BBTS. *** You're welcome Al! As I pointed out in my earlier post, the "Soul of Chogokin" Yamato seems a little more fragile than it's 2001 predecessor. The adjustable stand that comes with it is not as robust as the old one, and tends to translate any local vibration to the model itself (kinda like Capt. Jack Sparrow is leading the Yamato crew to run back and forth again to turn the ship over). Also, the instructions about how to get the battery housing off by removing Bridge #3 are not very clear: You have to hold Bridge #3 firmly and rock it gently port and starboard to get it to unlock. Firing the Wave Motion Gun took some trial and error (after installing 2 AAA batteries into both the ship and controller), since pushing Button #1 just starts the energy build-up sequence. Then you wait a bit for the sound effects to reach a critical point before pushing the button again to discharge the WMG... Otherwise, you get a misfire and shutdown (had a lot those happen before figuring it out). I know Al Cook is going to have some fun with what I wrote above... ;P And yes, you can fire the guns while the Yamato theme music is playing (bit of a audio mess though, so hold down controller buttons #2 and #5 at the same time cancel any effects). Have fun!
