Actually came across a piece of my childhood while digging up something for the Star Trek section...
Dinky Toy's die-cast Thunderbird 2. Later releases changed the coloring scheme and beefed-up the fragile spring-loaded struts and the engines. She's battered, hap-hazardly repaired, and missing the small plastic Thunderbird 4, but it's great to see her again!

I don't understand why those smaller figures are so expensive, they're almost the same price as ML when they first came out. You'd think half the size would equal half the price. ___________________________________________________________ Just be happy that you don't live in the UK and have to pay £8 for the things - yes that's a 1:1 exchange rate people. GGrrrrrrr. Makes my blood boil every time I think about it - Hasbro, Apple you should all be ashamed of yourselves.

Pretty sweet little Thunderbird 2. One of my favorite designs from the first moment I laid eyes upon her.

Thanks JB. TB2, like the TOS USS Enterprise, are one of those iconic designs that still stays cool looking after all these years (at least the movie revamp of TB2 was less of an eyesore than the Abramsprise).

Yes -- the movie was a waste of film, but at least the makers of THUNDERBIRDS managed to resist the urge to pimp out all of International Rescue's ships. (I did rather enjoy the little joke of Lady Penelope's six wheeled pink Rolls Royce turned into. . . a Thunderbird!)My own collection of classic Anderson vehicles, previously posted (and minus the diecast Supercar, Stingray and SPV, and the "studio scale" Fireball XL5 added since the picture was taken. . . ):

I have to admit, I found the redesign for Thunderbird 2 every bit as annoying as the new Enterprise. T-1 and T-3 weren't that bad, T-4 was terrible.

Sci-Fi Revoltech versions of TOY STORY's Woody & Buzz Lightyear: http://www.hlj.com/product/KYD04010http://www.hlj.com/product/KYD04011Kaiyodo certainly has raised the bar with the special features on these figures, but I really don't like Woody's alternate face... Kinda gives him the same expression as the stereotypical "anime lecher face", minus the drool...

It is very subtle, but the ability to adjust the eyes like that is very cool.

Hmm... The Woody Revoltech figure has a Buzz Lightyear hand as an alternate part...

I love how the folks at Kaiyodo strive to keep their Revoltech toys fresh. It will be interesting posing the Revoltech Alien next to Buzz Lightyear.

OK I just ordered the Woody and Buzz and the total was 4,888 yen, does anyone know what that means in US dollars?
