The Doom on the castle is pretty cool, but I suddenly see what JB meant a page back about the arms crossing thing in 3D. Where exactly do his gauntlets, radiuses, and ulnas go at the point of crossing over? Especially at this angle, they simply shrink away!

These guys seemed to manage even though it's not a full set of armour!

Too funny!

Let's take a set of armour that features none of the same pieces, looks and functions nothing like Doom's would, post a photo of it and claim that someone wearing that armour would have no problem at all crossing their arms as a reason to justify bad sculpts showing Doom with crossed arms!

Wait though, it gets even funnier!

The guy in the photo isn't crossing his arms either!!!

I may be late to the party, but I was delighted to find THIS in a catalog that came yesterday…

Altho it's "imaginary", the Protector is one of my favorite spaceship designs.

I was trying to show how different armour works it does not have to be Dr Dooms armour ,how on earth would knights have gone into battle if they couldn't bend their arms i would think that Doom would be no different. How funny would that be to wield a sword with rigid armour!

It's still hilarious that nothing you were talking about has anything to do with Doom's armour.  The design of Doom's armour is clear and well documented (check out any of the first 290 issues of the Fantastic Four, for example) and ain't nothing like knight's armour.  His arms are in solid steel enclosures for petey's sakes!

But whatever.

I am quite aware of Dooms armour i have had all the Fantastic Fours from  when i was young and i don't really care if he can bend over backwards  in it! So whatever.

That is precisely NOT the point being debated -- or argued, in this case.

The POINT is that Doom's armor AS IT HAS BEEN DRAWN FOR ALMOST FIFTY YEARS does not really work three dimensionally. It works ONLY as a drawing. Like so much in comic books.

You're supposed to be an artist. Stop being so frigging OBTUSE.

You think he's obtuse in this thread, you should catch some of his greatest hits elsewhere on this board...

But he draws a good Thor.
