JB(or anyone) how gradual was the change from black to blue in regards to Spider-Man's costume? Was the color change ever referenced in the books either way?

••

No specific reference was made to a CHANGE, as such. You can see it happen, tho, by looking at the covers, HERE. From the first issue, Ditko is already diminishing the amount of black on the costume, as well as simplifying the webbing pattern. A few issues where a lighter blue is used really points up the difference, too. By the time of Ditko's departure, the blacks are gone almost entirely. (I have an original page from issue 37, and there are no blacks at all on the costume in the two panels in which Spider-Man appears. This is really emphasized by how much black there is in all the OTHER panels, with characteristic Ditko lighting.)

Not a character I loved, but this Bowen Valkyrie might be looking better than any version I've yet seen, and I think it's because she's not as long and lean as typically illustrated. That the sculpture seems to be a bit more compact and thicker with muscle strikes me as just right. (Perhaps not as stereotypically Nordic, though?)

Love Valkyrie. Such and underrated and underused character.

Agreed,

Will be waiting with anticipation for this one.

It's taken way to long for a full Scale to finely be sculpted.

Black and Chrome, that's going to be visualy stunning.

We're seeing the beginnings of the merchandising build-up to this December's live-action Space Battleship Yamato movie (in Japan).

Appears that you have to buy each character's bridge station separately to form the Yamato Main Bridge (hopefully it is not one of those "blind-box" trading kits).
