Something about Iceman and the bridge being formed beneath him really stands out for me. Nice!

It hit me on the re-read that in the panel where Bobby recognizes his double, we see both their faces from the same angle. Even though one is iced up, they're so clearly the same guy. That was neat.

 | •• Something for which I have been complimented many times over the years is the ability to draw the same face from many angles. Usually this is followed by "How do you do that?" Sadly, there is no "how" to offer. It's just something artists are able to do--at least the good ones.

I think Storm's outfit is cool --- nice cross-contour lines. Clever!

That last panel of the three of them heading out is just perfectly heroic.  Here comes the cavalry!

Is there an error in Warren's dialog balloon (hope I used the right word!)?

And, intentional or not, continuity wise, Storm has been "manipulating" them for years.  Her costume and cape is always the least damaged and the fastest to be "repaired" and she used the "my cape can stretch" tactic to trap Snowbird in UXM 121 |

 | •• Iceman's slide is a bit of a cheat, and not one that started with me! It's common practice to treat it much like Johnny Storm's flame trail, extending behind Bobby to show the path he's traveled to get to his present position. Of course, unlike Johnny's flames, Bobby's ice doesn't "float", and should really be supported by columns reaching to the ground. All too easy to imagine how complex and crowded panels would become if that was done on a regular basis! So, a little artistic license, and. . .

 | "...I hear noises off" [in the distance?] •• "Noises off" is a theatrical expression. I figure Warren would be sophisticated enough to use it. He's probably dated a few actresses in his time!

Our Bobby seems as feisty as ever. Your portrayal is taking me back to Hidden Years.

Loving that last panel. Would be a nice commission.
Also, I might be reading too much into Storm's costume and I don't know why.  ;-)

 | Speaking of Storm's costume... I rate Ororo's headpiece right up there with the Scarlet Witch's (especially the original) and Snowbird's. (I'm still looking forward to seeing JB's updated attire for her though.)

Storm has also been manipulating her costume into civvies

 | as well.

Comments about this, coupled with comments about her
ability to manipulate moisture levels really do have me
 befuddled.

 Neither are really new.

JB perfectly melded her headpiece with Wonder Woman's tiara for Amazon! |

And, I just love charging-into-battle panels! Definitely getting a Hidden Years vibe here, especially with 4 out of the 5 key players present (so far?).

I remember when X-FACTOR debuted, Bob Layton said in an interview that Bobby won't be making ice slides anymore, since the city has been complaining about the property damage due to his slides melting and crashing to the ground. Luckily that didn't last long (probably because Layton didn't!) |
