 | The Beast has been and will always be my favorite X-Man.
JB's rendering of Alt-Beast is classic combination of Kirby & Adams!!!
I wonder what information "our" Magneto told the counterparts about our heroes?

I still prefer pre-furry Beast. (See what I accidentally did there?)

Toes!? Yeah, lots of artists won’t draw feet, but this Byrne fellow does TOES! Great looking Beast on today’s page.

       | Somewhat unrelated, but I thought this video was fun - two artists spending an hour on youtube gushing over ELSEWHEN: | | |
I love hearing the enthusiasm for JB's work from those guys. They get some of the facts wrong, but I appreciate all of the positive comments from them and most of the folks in the comment section.

I just hope no one at Disney sees the book in the video and thinks JB is responsible for printing it.

Yeah, completely agree, Wallace, about the enthusiasm in that You Tube video. Fun video.

Wallace and Peter... I listened to it in the background with a small window for the images and their love and admiration for John's psssion / craftsmanship is great to hear. For once, people coming at analysis without snark or smug superiority in their hearts, just simple appreciation for great work.

It's nice to hear them not only acknowledge the superiority of fundamental visual sequential storyelling in the classic Marvel style over 90s Image 'bad-ass' stuff but also question whether those artists were even up to the task of drawing those kind of human interactions.

There's a lot of deserved praise for the completeness of JB's skill, his mastery of the craft. |

Speaking of absent friends (e.g. "where are the D'Bari?") - the latest three pages have this dim-witted reader slightly confused (with apologies in advance)...

 Page 10 Panel 1 shows an unconscious Nightcrawler at Jean & Scott's feet - and Alt-Magneto stood immediately behind Alt-Jean & Alt-Scott.
Alt-Magneto is still present in panel 3 but in panel 4 both he (and Nightcrawler?) seem to have disappeared (though Magneto may well have exited stage right due to the optic blast and we may be able to infer a subtly different angle omitting Kurt).

Page 11 begins "At that moment" when switching to Xavier - and ends seconds later with the foreshadowing of Beast's claws.

Page 12 continues immediately from page 11 - at the end of which we once again see Alt-Magneto.

Wondering  how Magneto got from A to B so quickly and apparently unscathed from Scott's blast. Mayhap there are more to his powers than we might ordinarily expect?
