I think everyone in this forum agree in our love for Stan Lee.I love, among many other things, the tongue-in-cheek way he blew his own trumpet. While in DC everything was more annonymous. Perhaps that is why the name and importance of Julius Schwartz is not as well known. He added to superhero comics a certain degree of science-fiction flavour and revitalised --perhaps even saved-- the genre, ushering the Silver Age. I have the impression that in the late 50s he had already laid down the foundations for all the amazing things that Stan Lee did in the 60s. He also made Batman relevant again, did a great job with Superman, and I'd say that at least in part, his conception of the character ended up being reflected in John Byrne's version.
So, answering my own question, in my case yes, I feel he doesn't have the credit he deserves among the general public.
