Doom enjoying his own company is something I can really flip around many ways in my mind. On the one hand, he can be paranoid of competition. On the other hand, he has the highest opinion of himself and his own nobility.
So, where many paranoid narcissists may fail to get along with their alternate doubles from parallel universes, Doom may succeed. Doom may actually be able to count on himself to be fair-minded and cooperative with "himself" and no other. Then again... maybe not.
All in all, a team of Dooms poses a threat like no other.
I can see now how much Nightcrawler is certainly deep-down in a hole with no likely path to escape. Especially with Professor X so distracted! Nails being bitten... forever!

This is great stuff. Not sure what else to say - but if it's the last work, then what a cliffhanger!

I’ve been on holiday, which provided me the opportunity to not Red these pages day by day.
I’ve now caught up - what an ending!
Multiple Dooms, The promise of Wolverine vs Doom/demons
Further questions about Jean
The promise of what was to come sounds excellent.
Thank you so much for these two & a bit years of proper X-Men comics.
An experiment that both yourself & Chris Claremont have undertaken, & I must say, that I preferred yours to his.
We had a thread not too long ago where I was reading current comics on Marvel Unlimited & just could not fathom the X-Men - not their team members, nor what was actually going on. It was just so far removed from the concept of who these characters had been.
These 32 issues have been like meeting old friends. You are a gentleman for giving this gift freely, & for being so candid about any edits that you had to make along the way.
Bravo!

You did something I thought I was done doing - get me to read comics again. I wander into comics shops sometimes looking for old friends and always walk out feeling like I'm in a stranger's house.
Thanks for not only giving us The X-Men back, but Spider-man, The FF and The Avengers too.
I haven't had this kind of fun in a very long time.

Mr. Byrne, did you ever make clear what your plans were for the Phoenix/Scott thread? Perhaps I missed it.
Also, could you elaborate on the "Kurt conundrum"? His situations doesn't seems too dire at this point.

Lol From what I read, the only people who aren’t in danger are at the Sentinel cave. Which doesn’t sound too safe!

Wow!
If I was a superhero in the MCU, Doctor Doom is the adversary I would be most worried about going up against... THREE of them in the same room is just terrifying!! I totally didn't see that coming... and I love it!
This series has been such a joy to read - since I discovered it mid-way, it has been a daily ray of sunshine (sometimes on days when there wasn't a whole lot of other sunshine).
Thank you so much for sharing it with us...

X-MEN: ELSEWHEN has been a wonderful dream come true. JB, you brought a lifetime of storytelling expertise to weave a tale where the story was as engaging as the characters. Your history with these characters makes this a treat, but the real revelation was how you didn't try to recapture your earlier work - you told a bold, new story while retaining the soul of these iconic characters.
And it's obvious to me but worth mentioning that the X_men are iconic because of your contribution to them.
Thank you for this amazing work!

I just flipped through the stories from the beginning.
I seriously doubt there is anything remotely comparable to what has been done with this series.
Of course, I can say the same thing about ST:NV, and so many JB projects, but this return to the X-Men is so particularly daring and successful. I wish the proper amount of celebration were happening in the streets!
