This Wolverine is... troubling. I like him!
And Colossus is no slouch in the "direct solutions to problems" department, either! That's a hell of a hit. You can feel the Latverian embassy shudder.

This Wolverine is... troubling. I like him!••• When Len brought Wolverine into the X-Men his idea was that Xavier wanted him where he could be watched and controlled. That he was hair-triggered and a constant danger to the other team members. Introducing the Japanese element—which I thought was cool and even encouraged at the time—turned out to be a mistake, as, once I was gone, Chris turned him more and more into a “ninja-samurai”, taking him further and further from the original concept.

This Wolverine is everything he was back in the Hellfire Club “Wolverine Alone” story— he’s unpredictable, scary, and on the edge between effective and counter-productive.
It’s astonishing how well this character has been restored in Elsewhen. Author! Author!

Her glasses and her eye, there is something that is just so real about that.
Love it.

It's those little details, like the slight enlargement of the eyes and hair caught in the frame of the glasses that very few artists pay attention to, that add to the verisimilitude.
Something I first noticed when JB was doing Man of Steel way back when.

Another magnificent page today.
JB, many times you will introduce a civilian character into a story, even if only for a page or two, and I will want to know everything about the person's backstory, history, etc. This lady here in the embassy is yet another example.

Love this page-- Doom's private quarters are stunning.Looking forward to seeing Wolverine face off with Doom. I have the feeling these two will not get along.

Such joy and fun on Wolverine's face in the first panel of today's page!
Thank you, JB, for this last hurrah with the X-Men!
