JB, what is your opinion on having guest villains (villains who are signature opponents of another character or team) in a title when their main hero is not included in the guest appearance?

I like it. Mix things up a bit—provided it’s properly policed by the guest villain’s home office—and the writers/artists don’t see it as an opportunity to “fix” what they think is wrong with the guest.
Maybe redesign is the wrong word. I noticed you are drawing the black triangular area on his back to match the front. You used to draw a solid red back with no black triangle.
In the right hands it used to be fun when books that had a certain feel to them would have guest villains or heroes and you'd get to see their treatment through that book's "lens". Besides present company, Simonson's Thor used to be that way and so did Miller's Daredevil (which took it to an extreme with Kingpin).
Yes, with usually 20 pages per issue, that seemed the best way to avoid--if not entirely prevent--overlaps.
Because of the shortness of February, there will be an overlap into March, with the next issue, but that means you'll all have to wait only a weekend for the issue after that.
(I could start the next issue tomorrow, on the LAST Monday of the month, but that would serve only to shift the "week off" to the end of Feb.)
