Love how casual the crossovers are, without it having to be a big event. Just like the MTU days, or Alpha Flight and Spidey showing up in UXM.
How hot did Johnny's flames have to get to melt off two sentinel arms, seemingly immediately? Did Kurt's outfit protect him from the heat?
Can't wait for tomorrow's page!

You have to admire Doom's confidence.

"This is a contingency I had not calculated."
Still one of Doom's best lines of all time, IMO. He's thinking that as his armor is fused shut and he's clearly F-ed, but there he is calm as a cucumber.

DAMN! That's a fun page today. As has been said, your Nightcrawler is amazing. And I don't know if that second panel is a lot of work but it looks great and I would not want to see it colored. I think the black and white makes for more drama. Bravo sir!

Nightcrawler's BAMF effect is another one of those places where I kind of Zen out and just let my hand do what it wants to do. Fortunately, as with other such instances, this can be very effective!(Of course, there's half a century of experience backing this up!)

The last panel on today's page brings to mind something that has occasionally drifted thru my brain while drawing these adventures.New Yorkers are notoriously oblivious to the wonders around them. Spot someone looking up, and s/he's almost certainly a tourist. But in Marvel's New York, I wonder how much more aware people are of what's above them. After all, seems like stuff is constantly falling out of the sky!

Another odd thought: When Marvel responded to 9/11 with various "specials" and the like, I pointed out that the events of that day probably didn't happen, at least not as we saw them. The FF having a working time machine, for instance, would allow them to retroactively erase the attack. Not to mention what Doctor Strange would do.Now, with sliding Marvel Time, that day took place BEFORE the FF even went up in their rocket. (Tho Strange would probably still be in his Greenwich Village house.) It's a lesson that real world events--unless on the scale of global war--are probably best ignored in these fantasy stories.

That time machine does present a problem, doesn't it?
Wouldn't you want to go back and erase ALL the bad stuff? Where do you stop?
It's too early to contemplate this; I've just barely started on my first cup of coffee...
