The assumption is that the exit wounds heal, just like any other part of our boy Logan.

Something else to factor into his charming personality.

The reminder of what happens when Logan pops his claws adds extra depth to all the times in the past when JB had him do so with an intense smile on his face.

Made me think of two lines from great performances on the big and small screens, respectively, though neither is precisely on point (no pun intended):

"The trick . . . is not minding that it hurts."

and

"I'm not smiling; I'm wincing."

One scene I didn't get to do--yet--was to have some opponent pinning Wolverine so Logan has his palms flat against the bad guy's chest. And THEN he pops his claws.

They're so he doesn't tear thru the gloves every time he extends his claws.

That one’s been percolating for a bit. It’s been great fun to finally see some
of the sequences after reading about them so long ago.

I may yet find a place for it in ELSEWHEN--tho it would require Wolverine to actually KILL somebody, assuming his opponent to be human.

We've asked repeatedly to stop speculating on the story, and I think that
includes reporting the results of how you scored yourself at home. It feels like a lawyerly parsing of our request to still get those guesses on the record.

Please stop as you may stumble on something that is yet to come.

Your reasoning doesn't really make sense to me, but I'll gladly stop.

Your assumption on my intent, tho, is incorrect. I'm simply appreciative of how JB is doing something so many writers try and fail to achieve. He's able to defy expectations while maintaining character integrity and adhere to a logical progression of his storylines. An extremely difficult task to pull off and ELSEWHEN is doing so beautifully!

Be careful of what you “predict”.

I’ll relate again the story of Chris Claremont calling to tell me he’d just finished reading the script for THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK and asking me what I wanted to know. Based on that title, and what we’d seen in the first movie, my instinct was to say “HOW??” But instead I opted for the the most ridiculous thing I could think of, and said “Aside from Darth being Luke’s real father, what else is there?”

Lucky I didn’t say that in a crowded room, huh?

Over the years, I've occasionally read articles where you have the ability to predict real world events. I'm sure with the amount of stories you've done, a few of them are bound to foretell an event that occurs!

Here are the two things I keep coming back to is the integrity of the characters
and the logic. The guest appearances make sense. The flashbacks make
sense.   And that feeling you get of being sucked into a story, and here page by
page and for free.

I get to relive that feeling of the gravitational pull of what is gonna happen next.

I'm not a big mutant book guy bought my fair share bought never got hooked
on a title. My first mutant book was X-Factor 3 stayed thru the mutant
massacre stuff then dropped out. The Wolverine solo title was my
reintroduction. Left 20-25 issues later tried X-Men at various points around
the time they went thru a portal the world believed they were dead or some
such story. Dipped in and out of the X universe stuff around the time of the
(pre) Image boys revamping everything. Never stayed interested. The whole
mutant side of Marvel always seemed like a mess to me.

In two issues of Elsewhen I have gotten a better (perhaps the best) Logan story
than the 20 issues I bought of his solo title. (the "Patch" days on Madripoor)

I am truly enjoying the ride w ELSEWHEN really no interest in trying to predict
anything not looking up characters online to get background info. I'm trying to
just read the book pretend I'm 12 again there's just me and the page.

JB, looking at all the information we have, were the claws a final addition that was made after all of Logan's skeleton was replaced?

Edited for clarity.
