••

A bit of comic book shorthand of which I am quite fond, tho people have complained over the years that the starbursts are "not serious".

It's long fascinated me the things that fans will single out as inappropriate. Man turns into giant green rage monster, fine. Punch the rage monster and see stars, outrageous!!

Is that a deliberate callback to the “injury to eye motif” in the panel with the syringe?

Whose eye do you feel is in danger of injury?

If his muscles haven't atrophied, does that mean part of how his healing factor works is to keep his muscles physically active?

As in physically active around his shattered bones, causing the muscles to re-tear/re-heal constantly from the time he was trampled up until the replacements?  For the past 20 years?

His muscles would not have been literally active.

What a difference this must be from plotting/writing/drawing a book far ahead of time as you do and getting feedback only after the book is released months later when you're already on to something else.

I can imagine pros and cons to this approach from a creative standpoint where you can intervene in your current efforts to offset expectations from readers' feedback on the most recent release. < id="protanopia"> < id="deuteranopia"> < id="tritanopia">
