About people continuing to speculate, a phrase comes to mind: "This is why we can't have nice things."

Seriously,  why can't people just respect JB's wishes here? Whether you agree with his stance on the matter or not, it's his forum and he has asked repeatedly for the rest of us not to speculate here.

What is it that compels people to test the lengths of that request by continuing to "side skirt" blatant speculation by employing cutsie and not so hidden remarks that really are not so vague as they pretend to be? No matter how you couch it, it's still speculating, and the "wink-wink" nature of recent comments hinge on most of us knowing what the joke is, so it's just testing JB's rule.

Is it some sort of thing where people want to get in a comment to prove how clever they are, since they believe they know where a plot line or such is going? Seriously,  what drives this blatant disregard and lack of respect for JB's request?

Years ago, despite his preference that people not color his artwork that was created by him to be in black and white,  JB actually allowed a thread for us here to post and show off our colored versions of his artwork.  All he requested of us is that such colored art be restrained to that specific thread and NOT posted outside of it in this forum. Very reasonable, very simple, and very generous considering he feelings on such colored drawings.  And yet... people just.could.not.respect.his. request.

Sigh.

So, he shut down that thread entirely.

And yet, people would suggest he's the one being a jerk!!

Sorry for the rant, but geez, guys...  How many times does JB have to ask the same thing from us? I am writing this because this kind of thing ruins it for all of us. I personally liked seeing some of those colored drawings, though I got why JB feels as he does. So, when people screwed that up by disregarding his request, it was them who caused the thread to be shut down. They just couldn't follow the rules.

Really, it's a simple request.  We get it, guys... You are smart enough to see certain storylines emerging and such. Nice for you. Just fight the "know it all" urge within you, and please don't ruin everything for the rest of us. It's not even that the rest of us haven't figured out the occasional surprise, or two, we just are going with JB's request, because,  you know,  it's the decent thing to do.

Thanks.

Every time JB mentions Alpha Flight in a future appearance I chuckle because I know Ryan is somewhere losing his mind in anticipation!

I'll confess, Steve, I do too!

Like many others I wait anxiously for AF, but knowing it is coming makes me very happy.

Today's page is very good and makes me thing of three options but I learned at last to not speculate. Plus, of course, JB is far better at this than me (or I'd be writing something other than computer code for a living) so his ideas could be, and often are, 100% different than mine.

The fox is cool looking there.  Whatever is happening has affected the poor thing badly.  Skin and bones and matted fur it looks like.  Last time we saw this plotline the art made me think of an old series Puma Blues (doubt many have heard of it).  Now getting even more of a horror vibe this time.  Looking forward to the next page of this subplot.  A good horror story would be fun.

A Jean focused issue should be good to build her up more.  Poor woman has been though a lot.  Hopefully more solo stories get mixed in as time goes by.  Always loved those as a kid - solo or 2 characters getting a strong focus so we can see more detail on their personalities.

Just a fox and bear -- and more than enough for this reader!

Rich in goodness, this Elsewhen thing is. The phrase "Firing on all cylinders" sure comes to mind.

What a superb page - the panel rendered largely 'in shadow' works wonderfully. I'd been wondering about this sub-plot from prior issues and am very intrigued to see where it leads...

Here's my speculation: JB started with Secret Squirrel and he's made his way up to Yogi Bear.

Snagglepuss is next.

I also agree with Matt.
If someone asks, politely, don’t make them have to get forceful.

JB - Does that effect on the 2nd panel of page 15 have a name (like Kirby Krackle or Argle Bargle)? When a character is remembering or getting hit with a psionic or drug attack.

I've noticed it as far back as your Iron Fist comics and think it's cool of course.

I’ve heard it called “psychedelic”, but I don’t know how accurate that is. Those are seas I’ve never sailed.
