Another great page today. Thank you so much for doing this JB.

I feel like your animals in this series are much better than what I've seen in the past. I don't know if that's an improvement in your skills or maybe just seeing it in pencil. Either way the result is stunning.

Oh, definitely years of additional practice on display here.

Not so long ago, if someone asked if there was anything I had a hard time drawing, my instant answer would be “quadrupeds”.

And I’m not out of that tunnel yet!

The woods, the animals, everything on the page... NICE!!

I particularly like the silhouetted panel and the effect it gives off.

Steve Gumm: "...Every time JB mentions Alpha Flight in a future appearance I chuckle because I know Ryan is somewhere losing his mind in anticipation!..."

I know a certain JB fan and friend of mine who is also chomping at the bit to see Alpha Flight pop up again. JB knows how to tease, for certain!

Discussing what has already transpired on these pages: yes.
Speculation as to what may yet happen: a hard no.

I've blundered into that minefield a couple of times myself, before I knew better.

Lemme just comment that that fox's eyes are simply... sublimely reminiscent.  We are all here for this ride; captive audience all day.

Boy, Manuel. I’m glad you think you’re not providing possible spoilers
with your oh-so-clever use of words.

Try harder, kids.

JB,
From the tight lines on the previous pages before it, to this page with fox and bear, your pencil must be a little dizzy and confused. Today's page is shockingly good. Thanks for doing this.

Always been unparalleled in his rendering of "stuff": that which other artists seem to consider as an afterthought (and it shows), but which always brings a greater sense of verisimilitude without having to be photorealistic to set the mood and enrich a scene.  < id="protanopia"> < id="deuteranopia"> < id="tritanopia">
It takes both the sensibility AND the skillset to pull it off.
