This should be fun.  Unlike the version we saw in the comics, this one will be a much bigger threat to the X-Men.  Love the matchless comment.  A back to the basics Doom and Magneto in the same story should be very interesting.  Two guys who feel the need to be the most powerful in the room at all times with massive chips on their shoulders.  The 2 biggest ego's in Marvel that aren't actual planets (with the possible exception of Namor who we saw awhile ago - reminds me I've been meaning to re-read his series by JB).

I should be fair, I suppose, and mention that the Doom/Magneto story will hold subplot status for a while. There’s quite a queue of other stuff already ahead of it.

Did the Imperial Guard collect Alt-Nightcrawler's body?  I recall they said that Alt-Cyclops body was still a danger.

When Marvel coaxed me into doing an Alpha Flight** series, I made it a condition that I could restore the Guardian name.

** Another Chris name I didn’t like.

If you could have had your way, what would you have named the team(s), department, etc.?

Again from my fan days, my choice was another Canada-specific reference, the Canadian Shield. Doesn’t take a genius to figure out why Marvel didn’t go for that!

For a name you didn’t like, you sure made use of it in a supremely cool
way with the addition of Gamma and Beta Flight training teams.

I
Don't have
Words

It reminds me of when Magneto met Namor in X-MEN:HY (actually FF #102) and we had to wait a few issues to see the story unfold.

Keep up the GREAT work, JB!

JB- "I should be fair, I suppose, and mention that the Doom/Magneto story will hold subplot status for a while."

That is great news! I'm for it all the same!
