I'm glad to see that Professor X isn't letting Ashley off the hook.
That last panel though...
No, JB! Nooo! :-O

Getting the impression that humans aren't the only things with "muscle memory."

To quote Scooby Doo; "Ruh Roh!".
Nice to see a call back to Hidden Years.

And truly, it would seem that Ashley and Kitty would be well suited to deal with this re-animated machine of death, in entirely separate ways. Ashley seems very overconfident, and a Colossus/Kitty fastball special should be able to handle one.
What if it's not just one, though? Talk about fighting for a new house!

Ashley seems singularly well equipped to fight Sentinels but I suspect it wouldn't take them long to analyze and counter her abilities.

JB, Am I correct in seeing a slight frown on Peter's face and a downcast look on his face when Professor X is addressing Kitty in the second panel today? If so, it is amazing that you could convey subtle emotion from such an angle.

There's just something about a sentinel's expressionless face with round expressionless eyes that just sends shivers down the spine.

Something I noticed years after the fact was that when Neal Adams drew sentinels he only rarely had them open their mouths. Goes against the rule that speakers should have their mouths open, but boy! does it add to the almost subliminal sense of dread.

Dang, forgot about issue #1 - it was so long ago - yet I recall #143 and stuff like that so easily. Who'd have thought this would go so long and have more issues coming?
Makes sense that Prof X would be more angry at the more experienced Kitty vs the less experienced Ashley. I look forward to more interactions between them and with poor Prof X trying to convince Ashley to take school seriously even when there are only 2 students in the class.

John N. - at this point, there are NO new mutants - but they're likely around. A new "junior" class of mutants could lead to fun and adventure. It could even be Franklin Richards and other mutants we don't think of!
