JB, when a storyline approaches its wrap up, do you ever feel like "on to the next thing!" kind of anticipation/excitement since you know what's coming next?•• I usually—and I mean usually—get an “is this story never going to end??” feeling!

Love Thor's look with 'mahap' after his ready to kill the page before look - a Thor who has calmed down from earlier (understandable) rage. Kitty being the 'average person' with her 'the Shi'ar can do that?' line is so on point for her at this stage. Current Kitty in the comics would probably just build an interdimensional portal on her own (is there anyone who is smart but not 200+ IQ smart on Marvel Earth nowadays).
I for one am glad about the delay as I'm away next week and will probably have horrid internet connection when I actually get it (at a cabin in Northern Ontario - beautiful area with poor internet/cell service), thus a delay at the start of the month beats one at the end for me. Like most though I am just thankful we get anything at all here.

I'm in awe of the details on those wonderfully rendered space vessels, but it's the third panel of today's page showing all of our heroes I dig the most.

Funny thing is, since Dave’s little in joke of modeling the bridge/command center of his Shi’ar cruiser on that of STAR TREK’s Enterprise (NCC-1701) I’ve not been able to figure out just where it’s situated within the ship. Not perched on top, a la TOS, obviously, but…. where?

Dave Cockrum would be proud of this tribute, Mr. Byrne. It's just beautiful.
As to where it is... it seems to be the Captain's station, so I assume it's in the middle of the ship - the safest place in the vehicle. Better than sticking out on an elongated "neck", crying "Shoot here! SHOOT HERE!"

One of my favorite things taken from Art College was “gesture drawing”. This was where a live model would hold a pose for only a few seconds—usually no more than 10–and we were required to capture it without worrying about the details. It has served me well when it comes to posing imaginary figures.

Seems to me that a ship built for multiple purposes--including combat--might situate its command center well inside the ship, to give it maximum protection. The Enterprise's blister-bridge is a nice visual but it's a pretty easy target as well.
