ITEM: Regarding Wolverine's power of regeneration... I suppose this is one of those "too old in comics" questions, but if Wolverine suffered brain damage, certainly the brain matter would regenerate - but would his memories?••• You’re seeing that right now! +++++++ ITEM: You have noted that Wolverine has a single mutant ability - that of regeneration. Yet, we have seen him using his incredible senses, and a seeming ability to ignore extreme conditions. He's also run for miles at a time without even being winded. Is he just THAT good? And would Puck fall into the same range of human skills? I inferred that he IS, but he's your baby (literally... :) ••• I see those other elements as having been learned. The way certain monks can accomplish extraordinary mental and physical feats—especially in the Marvel Universe!

Yikes! Feeling sorry for Wolverine right about now. The abuse is just piling up... LOL_________ Big change from how Wolverine became the indestructible/unstoppable force, walking through explosions and healing while saving the day.

I seem to recall reading in TOHOTMU that Wolverine and certain other characters (like Captain America) have regenerative abilities that prevent the buildup of "fatigue poisons" in their system, allowing them to engage in physical activity for far longer than a normal human.
Eh...
I don't really need to know all of the HOWs and WHYs as long as the abilities fit the character.

I have long thought that would be a reasonable explanation of why chunks of Wolverine's past remains a mystery, especially to himself!
(As a kid, I came up with a character whose power was regeneration, and who when cornered, shot himself in the head with a blaster to fool his enemies into thinking he was dead... A rather gruesome idea in retrospect. Unfortunately, he did not reckon with the fact that most of his memories would be lost.)

Nice to see a return of the idea that mutant powers come with big price tags. Face it, Wolverine, Cyclops,and Havok have to be constantly on guard lest they kill someone. Wolverine has it bad that the animalistic, ferocious side of his powers works against the discipline he so needs. No thanks!
