A reminder: because of the two page post, this “issue” will end on Thursday.

The next will begin on Monday, June 1st.

Thanks, VV. Randy was the son of scientists Maxine and Minton, and brother of Adam and Dee.

I wonder why Marvel felt the need to create the Sentry when Gladiator and Hyperion already existed.

••

But...but... Sentry was Marvel's FIRST superhero! Created by Stan himself back in the Forties!!!

Mr. Byrne - no doubt, Shooter would have introduced the Joker with "A man smiles a smile without mirth... rather a smile of death! The awesome ghastly grin of... Jack Napier*, the Joker!"

Sometimes what's in the box should stay in the box.

And maybe it's intentional and maybe it's not, but I want to note... when you draw Gladiator, it's not quite the same... schwerve, I suppose, as when you draw Superman. Some poses obviously have to be the same, but I never see Kal-El when you draw Gladiator. Maybe it's something subtle, or maybe I'm just delusional.

*Not the Joker's real name in the comics, at least as far as I'm concerned. In my book, the Joker's real name still hasn't been revealed. Until some halfwit writer decides that he's really Terrence Wayne, Thomas Wayne's twin brother...

In the time I’ve been working in comics I have noticed a distinct increase in the number of fans who cannot tolerate mystery. Anything that is not revealed by the end of an issue (or sooner!) is a MISTAKE.

The idea of throwing someone to Earth, even with the portal, is a certainly a Superman-ish feat.

Yeah! And surviving a space warp type situation in a welded ball is pretty darn badass, Jahf.

I actually considered having Gladiator throw Jahf without the portal AND without the protective shell. But I decided that was—you should pardon the expression—unrealistic!
