I bet it's a real joy for the inkers out there to work on these pages, especially Pg. 14! I can imagine Joe Sinnott inks on those Sentinels in particular.
I imagine the only thing at the bottom of Jamaica Bay at this time could be some old fading Phoenix-entity poops that glow or something. :^D

I'm loving the dynamic between Friday's page and today's page. In the first panel of Friday's page, the way the Sentinel is hunched over looks so unlike any depiction of a robot that I've ever seen--the body language is so human, but at the same time, so unnatural and robotic. It's very discomforting, and I can't imagine that it was an easy thing to accomplish. But what is really blowing me away, is the positioning of the Sentinel's frame in the first panel of today's page. To my eye, the Sentinel is positioned exactly as it would be if it were to have gone completely limp and then fallen directly from where it stood on the previous page, and by so doing, you've implied an eerie moment that happened between panels, but one which holds the same power as a drawn image--and perhaps more so, because those unnatural, discomforting and eerie feelings you've elicited in me, help put me in the shoes of poor, confused an scared Jean Grey.

Rebecca, I have been having a blast, inking this project. I know we're all enjoying JB's work here, but I feel lucky that I get to experience it in this way, as well.

I wonder how long a sentinel would last against Gladiator.

Well, I definitely didn't expect the issue to end like that!
Oh, and I echo Darren's admiration of the way you drew Jean's jeans, JB!

"Always leave them wanting more" in action. What an ending. Looking forward to the next issue!

I've always admired how you handle textures.•• For which, much thanks. As I've grumbled before, I've been saddled with a few inkers in my day who did not GET textures at all. And it can be most frustrating to work on creating the right surfaces for different objects, only to have them all come back looking like cut glass.

Okay, I finished scripting 12. Now I have to figure out just exactly where 14 starts! So many choices!

Shooter wouldn’t like that cliffhanger, would he?•• Shooter claimed not to like big shots of the villain on the last page, but I did not experience him having problems with a conventional "What Happens Next?!?" style cliffhanger, such as this one.
