Having acknowledged the goof, I've decided to delete Jan, to make things easier.

Before this series, I didn't think much of Shaw as a villain. Now... What a cunning fiend!

The X-Men. Sentinels. The Avengers. The big reveal. I am once again feeling the level of excitement and anticipation the X-Men gave me way back in the day. It’s a gift beyond compare. Thank you, JB!

Shaw and Project: Wideawake as actually published in NEW MUTANTS were.....uninspiring.

I’ll have to take your word on that, Vinny, since I didn’t read beyond the first issue of NM.

Love it! JB's villains are merciless and, if the scheme makes sense according to established rules, nothing is sacred.

Oh, my X-Men! I hate to say it, but the drama-loving-part of me hopes it gets way, way worse before it gets better.

 | Ah, I see Scott has figured it out... I too figured this one out a bit in advance (for a change) but I haven't quite figured out what the X-men are going to do about it <LOL>  Although there are some possibilities running through my head...
There was a battle with Kang quite a few years back that had a similar problem for the Avengers, but that involved the use of a meteor to bring down one of the "enemies" as I recall!

Really impressive. I couldn’t be more impressed. This is what is missing in the superhero comic arena at this moment.
Anyway, I am sure an experienced professional such as JB doesn’t need flattery, and I can assure you this isn’t.
High quality, high talent, great tone and voice. Brilliant.  |

 | I don't read enough anymore to be confident in my accuracy, but judging by the recent comics I have read, this series is overflowing with things "missing" from modern comics.

The sheer tonnage of story per page is the number one reason. The splash page here would conceivably be a page 3 story point (in modern "timing") -- after two pages of heroes posing and staring into "camera" making witty remarks.

It's so great to see these characters move at this pace again.

Were they meant to be a different model of Sentinel? (Like we are seeing in Elsewhere) |
