Exactly, Rick, I too wanted to congratulate JB for this innovative way of offering us a brand new X- Men vs X-Men AND Avengers vs X-Men slugfest. You are still the best at what you do, JB ;)

Mr. Byrne, it's the Avengers. THE AVENGERS! Well, yeah... you drew 'em, you'd know.

I so love your Avengers. And especially Iron Man, in that armor. I would have read five years of you drawing and writing Iron Man (at least.)

Also... Scott and Hank together gives me a thrill that I cannot explain. They are just so perfect together that I wish you were doing a mini series with them.

Oh, come now. I wish you were doing ANYTHING with ANY characters. I just plain love your X-Men story here.

How to draw Cap's shield: Just draw concentric circles on multiple parallel planes with a 10-sided non-convex polygon at the center in proper perspective, all while keeping in mind that the surface has about a 10 meter radius curve to it. Easy breezy.•• Or, to put that another way...
 Clip and save!

Another awesome page, JB. Nobody draws Iron Man better. I'm glad you were able to add a "my boss will pay for that" line like the good old days.

Iron Man looks great in that first panel, but the wreckage around him grabbed my attention, too. That pipe gushing water is a nice touch.

So lemme get this straight.....Nobody knows Tony Stark IS Iron Man!? LOL!  What parallel universe are we watching here!?

“My boss, Tony Stark....”  That line made me smile.

I had almost forgotten that bygone era where Tony Stark pretended to be his own bodyguard inside the Iron Man suit.

 Ahh....memories.

In my Superman days I had Luthor reject the idea that Superman and Clark Kent were the same person. His ego would not allow him to believe that Superman would not be flaunting it 24/7. This was my little commentary on those writers that would grumble that if THEY had superpowers they certainly would not HIDE them. Little did I know, then, that that mentality would come to dominate the industry.
