Vacation travel has given me the opportunity to read a few pages at a time - and what an amazing last pages it's been!
So thankful for this series, JB - it continues to be an amazing ride!

Just finished opening gifts with the kids and before I start breakfast a stop at the Fan Fic board was in order. Wowshers, but what a gorgeous page 18! Merry Christmas everyone and thank you Jolly John Byrne for Elsewhen.

"Since the beginning I have found I prefer my art--think I produce my best work--when it is unencumbered by shading and variation in line. Something very freeing in the simplicity of it."

Even since your earliest days, I'd get a kick out of seeing those kind of panels shine through on issues with overpowering inkers (I recall a sequence with Angar the Screamer and Iron Fist where they were the only panels in the entire issue that I could tell that it was your work).

Two quick bits of praise from the last 2 pages:
Love Ororo's eyes!
Shaw's looking particularly Kirby-esque, here. In my head I've been saying for a few issues that Shaw's been going scorched earth - now the Sentinels are doing that literally!!

I'm seeing that too. Gotta love the respect being given to other creators when these character's are used and the fact that John's style is still very much his own despite the nods to other artists.
Actually, I can think of no worthier successor (or is it torchbearer?) to Kirby, than John, not only in art and story, but in also in spirit.

JB, your modesty is admirable.
Re: Today's mini cliffhanger... Every time I think I know who's going to appear on the next page, I'm wrong... And that's probably a good thing!

A refreshing attitude, Wallace! Too many times I’ve encountered fans who guess what I’m up to, then complain that I screwed up when their guess proves to be wrong! These are cousins to those who CAN’T guess where I’m going, and assume I don’t know either!

Nice shot of the Sentinels taking off. Love the shadows!
Now that the Greys have to remodel their house, maybe it could be based on the Brady Bunch home to keep up the TV layout theme. Heh.

Like someone pinned to a rollercoaster ride, I have very little to articulate beyond whoops of appreciation.
I am so thoroughly impressed by every aspect of this project.
