So glad you didn't use this at Marvel in the end. Right now, there would pages and pages of people trying to figure out why this doesn't fit with any of Moira's ten lives. There was a hidden one but even that's closed off now.

I’m not 10,000% sure of this quote, so I won’t name names. Or one name, anyway. An Artist was told Rogue’s age by Chris. The Artist misheard it as 60 “No way she’s a day over 30,” said The Artist. Chris corrected him: “No, no! 16!” “No way she’s a day UNDER 30!”

In Uncanny X-Men #182, Rogue's age is stated (by her) to be 18.
Cockrum and Golden both seemed to be drawing an older character. Smith and Romita seemed to be drawing an 18 year old. Silvestri and Lee seemed to be drawing a young woman somewhere in her 20s, definitely older than 18.

Romita Jr's Rogue didn't look like a teenager to me (though as someone else wisely wrote a bit earlier in this thread, it's always hard to tell). He drew her dressed like a woman who was a decade beyond her teenage years, I thought.
Back to today's page:
Oh, boy. Wolverine's going to lose some skeletal mass, I fear.

"\It's always seemed odd how it worked out that the new X-Men had two metallic-based members (Colossus being at almost as great a disadvantage and reduced to normal human form lest he be crumpled like a tin can) when their greatest adversary can control metal."
--
I was wondering just today if Len and Dave gave any thought to how disadvantaged Colussus would be in battle against Magneto when they first created him.

Vinny, Dave Cockrum designed Colossus originally to be a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes (same with Nightcrawler, and an earlier version of Storm). So, Magneto was unlikely a consideration in the character's creation. However, it's curious that Colossus was picked eventually from Cockrum's designs to be an X-Man because of the thing with Magneto. I'm glad in any event that they did choose to use Colossus, despite his weakness against Magneto. I like the character, and it makes the battle againts Magneto pretty interesting/

I'm still (thankfully) reading these stories through my 'big kid' eyes. Thus during the reading, it never entered my mind either "why didn't wolverine just stab Magneto from behind?" or "scumbag magneto wants to rape storm" (really?). That's age and cynicism and years of experience living in a disappointing real world giving you that perspective. I prefer my reading experience to be escapism from all of that.
An innocent youngster reading these pages would likely just think it was cool that Wolverine even so much as tagged Magneto by sneaking up on him (after all heroes don't kill - or at least that shocker should be reserved for very rare, very impactful, historic moments) - or think Magneto is just in awe of Storm's beauty and likely to sneak a creepy smooch whilst she's unconscious (and PLEASE do not misinterpret that last statement as my condoning any form of sexual assault or harassment).

Re: ColossusPeter is the Iceman of the All New, All Different X-Men. A mutant whose power really makes no sense. From the first time I saw him, in GSXM 1, I was vaguely troubled by the articulation of his body. I mean, okay, I can persuade myself that he turns into "living metal", but should it be mechanical? I don't know what his backstory was when he was intended to be a Legion member, but it really stretched Stan's definition of what a mutant was in the Marvel context. (Not as much as Nightcrawler, but...)
