I’m not sure I’m following that logic. No one has bad fashion sense BECAUSE they’re a teen. Your fashion sense (at any age)  comes from your
personality and taste (or lack of). There’s a lot of fashionable teens in the world — there’s a lot of adults in the world with horrible fashion sense.

Speaking of Claremont, looks like he’s also returning to where he left off with these mutants...

...I wonder if he was inspired by JB returning to the X-Men?

An inherent flaw in giving Kitty a "bad fashion sense" lay in the fact that it was an ADULT MALE who was deciding just how that would maninfest in how she chose to dress herself.

There is a long tradition in comics (and elsewhere) of adults completely missing what the young audience would want. And if the idea is to appeal to kids, DON'T MAKE FUN OF THE KIDS!!

JB, is there a term for the effect you used on Xavier and Pablo when they’re on the astral plane on this last page? It’s long been a favorite one, and there aren’t many that use it more effectively as you.

Outline? Thick outline? Ghost outline? It occurs to me I have not heard a specific name.

I am tremendously enjoying the direction of this current story. Every little element is like another dollop of excellent soup, with a mixture of ingredients in every bite. I'm just crackers over it.

Might I also observe that you draw some of the sexiest women in comics! Even when sexy is not the desired intent, their pulchritude is astounding. Even characters such as Pink Pearl and Big Bertha have a certain sultriness to them.

Well, with Bertha that was sort of deliberate. Pearl, tho.........?

(BTW, if you haven't looked up Bertha lately, DON'T!!)

I love all the visible underdrawing (“thinking”) on today’s page.

Nice! Autism was my assumption from the very first page that he appeared in but did not want to speculate (kudos for converying that solely in the art, by the way!) . But the twist is better than that.

Back in the formative stages of this story, months ago, I thought about making Pablo truly autistic. I thought there might be some interesting avenues to explore. But I quickly realized there would be some in my potential audience who would complain loud and long if I did not then turn the series into a virtual textbook on autism—and, of course, scold me mightily if my portrayal of the condition did not precisely mirror their individual views.

So, something that “resembles” autism, but is actually something else entirely. Falling back on one of my oldest rules: if you make it all up you can’t be wrong!

There is a school for Autistic children down the street from me. One thing I have learned is that autism presents in many forms.

Nice to see Professor X skillfully using his powers ion today's page. It has been too long.
