I would hate to do that one... sooooo much texture and so little super hero goodness. ;). Looks awesome Eric.

It’s not that bad. I don’t think it works quite the way I had hoped. My inks as they stand rely on the colourist too much. I’ll most likely give this page another go in 6+ months. I wanted the trees in the foreground to stand out much better than I was able to achieve.

Is it traditional inks?  Because you can digitally pull back the opacity on the middle ground trees and mountains to 'pop' the foreground more.  If you look at the Cyclops I posted a few posts up... I did that with the jungle background... its a cheat, but it works like a charm.

Another option is using more black in the middle ground trees... almost silhouetting them out and making them more of a dark mass with some light spots shinning through to help push the other trees forward.

Here's my latest inks. I had to slice the page in half in order to print out and re-scan to splice back together. I need an 11x17 scanner/printer!

Hi Paul - another beautiful piece! That first panel really evokes the Austin-esque magic of the original era!

It's funny how (with fresh eyes) you can see the flaws in your work after a few weeks that you couldn't see initially.  I thought I'd make adjustments to the previous page posted and hopefully implement some of those great tips JB suggested earlier.
