thanks, JB! i LOVE the model work you did for GENERATIONS... each of those batmobiles really captures its era, and yet each one says "batman!" to me, albeit in wholly different ways. excellent work.

the 1953 model-- ooh, i can see having some trouble parking that one. the nose-spike (or what seems to be a nose-spike) would impale nearly anything a foot ahead of the bumper! :)

thanks for sharing your favorite batmobile-- it's clear to see how some projects become real labors of love.

GENERATIONS was a great piece of work.

That should have been a very good example of how a Reboot should be done in any universe: History and Continuity.

DC COMICS should have took it from you, John.

The renditions of all the period car models for GENERATIONS's Batman are simply beautiful.

I confess I have a particular affection for the 1975 batmobile model. Reminds me of the model John used in the 1986 MAN OF STEEL when Superman meets batman issue.

Your 1975 Batmobile blew me away when I saw the first time. Did you draw inspiration for it (in part) from a Stuts Blackhawk?

That model was based on the "official" Batmobile of the time, as drawn by Neal Adams.

Not quite sure where you're seeing a Blackhawk influence.

Didn't realize that's what you based it on.

From the windshield back, the roof line follows the Blackhawk pretty closely. Neal Adams' version strikes me as a 68-72 Corvette in the front with the Blackhawk in the rear.

I don't think there's much beyond the 'Vette in Neal's drawing.
