I can't find the Simonson inked cover, but it would have to go a long way to beating the JB pencil/ink cover. This issue is a riff on a favorite X-Men issue, and it's the one I want!

YES! I agree that Byrne rocks the heck out of that cover. I'm just
amazed at the lack of info...and I'm trying to be patient but....dang!!!

I'm looking forward to this weekend when I get to make it
into my shop and finally pick up this series. I haven't
been able to make it in, but my LCS has held on to the
issues in my pull box. With our current heat wave, this
weekend could be a great time to kick back and catch up on
my reads. Certainly Trio will be top of the pile I will
have in front of me.

Can't wait to get the iPhone version of this - the great thing about the digital version being that all the cover versions are included in the one download (either at the beginning or end of the issue, almost like 'full page posters' in format. Very cool). Roll on Wednesday...
