Confidence? Moi?

I could have irrigated the Sahara with the buckets I sweated over this!

One of the things I enjoy about reactions to posted commission pieces is the number of folk who respond with "Best one yet!" or some variant. If each is better than the last, it shows I am headed in the right direction!

(Unfortunately, the next piece on the List is not nearly so challenging as was this, so I have some small concern that the customer may be "disappointed" by the comparison!)

Jean's face is wonderfully disturbing.  Tells a story without this page being attached to anything, including words.  Truly brilliant.

Damn, that is a thing of beauty.

Chief, I have to tell you that you're one of handful of artists who continue to get better & better.

I'm no way knocking any of your previous work, which is always awesome, but this you're best. Once again, a thing of beauty.

Congrats to the commissioner...you lucky bastard!

Thanks. I do like to think that's true -- altho, I remind myself I started so low on the ladder that much of that improvement was just about getting to a point where looking at my own work didn't make my skin crawl!!

Oh ... my ...god. That is so incredibly cool. Congratulations to the commissioner - you own a one-of-a-kind spectacular work of art.

The new version is beyond belief. My wife couldn't believe how much better that was compared to the older one. The gray tones are extremely well used on this one.
Congrats to both JB and commissioner...
