Brevoort said: "I think if John is truly interested in doing a project like this again, he's going to need to make the first outreach--that's the only way he's going to show that he's serious beyond the bounds of a fun intellectual exercise."

Ted if you guys do Facebook Brevoort I would tell him Mr. Byrne has already made the first outreach here in this thread. I'll Facebook him too if you tell me where.

Do we know anything of the "rules" to this concept?

I mean, does this hypothetical book automatically pick up where JB left off at X-Men 143?

I say that remembering the incredible thread we used to have of unused concepts that were set up and abandoned.

That fantastic image of Phoenix makes me chime in that I think JB's made himself clear enough that it'd be safe to guess we wouldn't see Phoenix turn up in X-Men Evermore-- But maybe Jean Grey is still lying in that cocoon under water at Canaveral?

"I totally understand why you'd be expecting them to screw you over again, but I honestly don't think that would happen."

When people talk like this, it really creeps me out.

Guys, maybe you should back off a tad. I agree that the idea of such a title is exciting, but let's not get too ahead of ourselves, ok?

And exactly what I would have expected. This is not about building bridges. This is the same kind of power trip crap I was happy to leave behind when I walked away from Marvel.

And guys -- thanks a whole lot for bringing reality crashing into this and spoiling the fun.
