Well said Geoff. I've been glued to this thread for two days and would love to this happen.

Edited to add: Thanks for pointing out the "milestone" JB!
It still thrills me to get a response from "The John Byrne."

I know there are a number of things that might stand in the way of X-MEN
EVERMORE
ever happening, and I usually err on the side of what I
consider being realistic (and what others term pessimism); however, I am
really hoping this comes to pass.

Wallace- Pessimism isn't always a bad thing.  I am with you in agreeing that I would love this to happen.  Not just with JB on an X-Men book but on other parts of the Marvel Universe as well.

If the whole thing didn't happen because one side wasn't interested in the project that would be one thing but if it didn't because everyone was too proud to do anything that would suck. I wonder if the right people at Marvel have heard about it.

I think Marvel should make the call since Mr. Byrne has stuck his neck out here on the forums. Come on Marvel!!!

BTW, looks like X-Men: Forever #2 has also gone to a second printing. Interested to see what the actual print run was for the book, because it looks like retailers have seriously under-ordered. The fact that the second issue has also sold out bodes well, because it indicates that the readers have enjoyed the first issue enough to go back for more.

Oh... Geoff... I thought you knew... I'm actually Steadman.  It's a disguise I use when I go out in public with pookie.. oh, or as you call her, Oprah.

Did you know...

That Steadman and I went to the same high school?  The same high school of which I am now the principal?  I just saw Steadman at the annual John Roberson Golf Tournament sponsored by his/the Concerned Citizens of Whitesboro, where his mother still lives.

I wonder what it would take for Marvel to give that kind of iron-clad assurance?

To not only put it in writing, but to then keep people from dishonoring the contract.

It would be, as soneome pointed out, like giving them permission to print money
