I apologize to all the people who have accepted and/or
use it but I strongly think It's just one of the dumbest
ideas of all time

I think it's being used because Claremont is the one who
brought Captain Britain (who I think it's unfair to call
third rate, I like him, the Fury story is a great story)
and the Multiverse over in Excalibur stories.

I liked your run on Starbrand... Only thing I'd wished it had had would have
been art by JRjr.

And I think that particular trick is something they teach in editor school.

As far as how Smith drew Madelyne, I think both JB and myself were
referencing the very first time she appeared, that single last panel in X-
Men#168.

Yup.

And Bobby would have come back too, if only I could have
figured out how to draw him properly!

Is there anyone that you think drew Iceman "properly", JB?  I'm surprised you had apprehension to putting him in the X-Men after you drew him in The Champions.

The only place I didn't like how JB drew Iceman was in that Hulk annual.
And that was probably Bob Layton I was reacting to there...

I thought my drawings of Iceman in THE CHAMPIONS sucked beyond reason! But, then, I stood as always in the shadow of Neal Adams, who drew the character to perfection.

Now see, I loved JB's Iceman in the Hulk Annual.  Layton's inking makes things look "hard".  I thought they were a good match.

I thought exactly the opposite.

Ugh. Cable. Just hearing the character's name gives me a headache.

This is why I stopped reading the X-books. Cyclops's daughter from an alternate reality (Rachel Summers aka Phoenix II) was already a regular character. Then someone gets the brilliant idea to make the grown-up version of Scott's son from the "normal" reality a regular character (Cable). Then another time-traveler from the future appeared (Bishop) and became part of the regular line-up.

I wasn't confused so much as annoyed by it all. But I wonder how anyone who was a new reader in those days was able to make sense of any of it.

It could have been worse! They wanted to have Bishop be from a different post-apocalyptic future. I said "Geez! Can't he at least be from the one we already have???"

Heh. I couldn't even remember what future Bishop was from!
