Also don't forget that it is supposed to follow X-Men 1-3 drawn by Jim Lee.

If you carried around those many pouches all day, you'd bulk up too.

I think Gambit's eyes have to do with his original
intended origin

Gambit: Claremont originally intended for Gambit to be
a villain who would infilitrate the team. He would betray
them and cause serious harm. We would have learned that
in fact, Gambit and Mr. Sinister are closely tied. They
are both bizarre byproducts of an 8-year-old mutant boy
that Scott Summers met at the orphanage. Sinister is the
"negative" side of this boy, while Gambit is the
"positive" side. And the boy would age just 1 year for
every 10.

Btw the same site had this as JB's plans if he stayed
writing X-men
John Byrne, in 1991, wanted to perform a real "Mutant
Massacre" and kill off 90% of the existing mutants. I got
the impression from an interview that Byrne wanted to get
rid of mutants he was unfamiliar with, like Psylocke,
Rogue, Gambit, Forge, etc.
Is that true JB?

I like Grummett's art, and am sorely tempted to give this a chance...

JB (in part): "Glad to see Kitty with huge knockers."

She was phasing thru Salma Hayek when a Sentinel disrupted her concentration, and she emerged with...

Oh, sorry, Stephanie; I misunderstood...I thought it was some sort of limited series...my mistake!

Whatever happened to "Slim" Summers?

-----

Speaking of body type changes, since the 90s didn't happen, maybe Cannonball will remain a goofy looking tall guy if he shows up again.

How about a Captain America Forever mini where Stern and Byrne unleash their "lost" Red Skull story?
