Selina's facial expression is priceless. Excellent use of light and shadow!

It's her look from the late eighties until about 2000.

If he or she had given you the choice, would you have given her a different costume?

My personal preference is the long, slit skirt -- but this worked fine for the
piece.

She is in some serious trouble!

This scene of course has to lead into Batman confronting Doom. That's a crossover I'd love to see.

••

Somebody should commission the whole issue!

(And, please, let's not start "pooling resources"! That NEVER works!)

I love it ! What a great result !
I mean, not only two characters, but a story, and a mood.

The only thing missing are Doom's slippers.

Sidebar: I'd mentioned a while back that I was disappointed with the latest batch of PITT brush pens. The nibs seemed to be giving out faster than I remembered. Working on this piece, I exhausted the last of my previous order (still waiting on the most recent order to arrive), and turned to some of the older pens in the hopes that I might coax a bit more ink out of them. See, I'm a bit of a packrat when it comes to stuff like this. I have not thrown out any of the dry pens. Must have a hundred or more. And what did I discover as I popped the tops off, looking for some that were still a bit wet? Dry they might be, but the nibs were still in perfect shape. In other words, the ink had run out before the nibs had broken down. So the quality of the nibs has changed, and in the wrong direction.

Good news there is, it's a snap to switch the nibs. I discovered a while back that the tubes of felt (?) that comprise the nibs are pointed on both ends (making it easier for the machines and/or workers at Faber-Castell to fit 'em, I guess) and when one end starts to fray, I have been pulling out the nib and reversing it. Now, I'll pull nibs from the old pens and slide them into the new ones when they start to break down!

Hurrah!

Fantastic!  I love it when worlds collide.  The expression on Catwoman's face is priceless: "Gulp!"
