I only know Aquarian from OHOTMU. According to his history there, he apparently is a sort of "Jesus-like" figure. Also, his origin seems blatantly patterned on Superman's.
I wouldn't have thought he was well enough known to be included on such a list.

Aquarian was a Superman homage from an issue of Man-Thing. He was also an early supporting character [along with Namorita] in Marvel Two-in-One.
At that point in time he was known as Wundarr.

why Hulknot have own page! hulk is strongest one there is!
Both these issues - ASM Annual 15 and MTIO Annual 7, are among my most prized comics for sheer sentimentality. ASM because Miller drew it, and MTIO because...well because. the last page where Ben refuses to give up ithe fight...If you have never read this book, please find it. Highest possible recommendation.
