Wayde, I've noticed on the later figurines that they package spears, etc. separately, maybe because they figured out that too many were getting broken. I was lucky that the only ones that were really bad for me was Absorbing Man with a broken off arm and chain. No biggie.

Brad, I'm glad they've gone that route.  I looked through a lot of Mole Man, Kraven and Sub-Mariner figures looking for undamaged accessories.  The Hawkgirl was a pleasant surprise.

My (first) Hawkgirl came with the resin wings broken off. I ordered a second one and she was fine. C'est la vie!

I wish my Hawkman had come with his mace separate though - it's curved to the point where it looks silly, like he's doing the "rubber pencil" trick by shaking it.

Got Steel and Deadman today! Both look great!

On a tangential note, both also look bigger than some of the specials. Boston Brand's gravestone and larger base and the fact that Steel is larger than the Demon makes me think the whole "Super Special" thing is just arbitrary when it comes to some characters. Grodd and Kilowog earned it, going by what's on my shelf, but Bane is pretty much the same size and bulk as Steel. Boston Brand is similar enough to Jonah Hex for size of figure, base, and extra material on the base. Why was Hex twice the price of Deadman? Why was Bane twice the price of Steel?

I never got Lobo, but at least he looks BIG. I'm not interested in the Superman Statue, but at least it has the mass to go with extra price. The Demon? Pretty much the same size and weight as Martian Manhunter.

Not sure how they determine what's a special. I can figure it out on the doubles or Batman on a Batcycle, but the others? I guess they're special because they say they are.

Nekron, via the figurine forum.  Yet another DC character I've never seen before.  Great sculpt, but I'm not getting it.  I'm assuming it's Special size, if not bigger.

Well, looking at his color scheme, at least you'd never have to dust him.

Wasn't Nekron a villain in JB's Wonder Woman run? Didn't
look like this, though. Nice sculpt, but I'll likely pass.

Brad, I believe Nekron was the Big Bad in the recent Green Lantern Blackest Night storyline.

I liked Blackest Night and even I'm sick of it at this point. I'm passing on the figure even though it would beef up my meager villain collection and it's a really cool sculpt, just because I'm so sick of Blackest Night at this point.

I'm so sick of Blackest Night, I'm prematurely sick of Flashpoint, just because I know in a year and a half, I'm still going to be dealing with all the merchandise related to it.

I honestly think I've finally reached the point where I understand the term "event fatigue" from a first person perspective. Still, very cool Nekron. too bad looking at him makes me feel an overwhelming sense of tedium and antipathy.

Brad T, me too!  No wonder I couldn't get any pictures to come up.  Thanks for clearing that up.
