how much input do you guys give artists you commission?

------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

I usually give enough input that I know I'll get something I want, but leave it basic enough that the artist has plenty of input. A few examples: Sue Storm Richards in an action pose, Dr. Strange with the caterpillar from the Silver Dagger story, and Usagi & Tomoe happy.

A big special thanks to Gerry Turnbull, Roger Ash and Brian Sagar for making me aware of a special at the Joe Kubert school. Joe Kubert is offering the soft cover collection of Tex The Lonesome Rider for sale. He is doing 100 of those with sketches. I was extremely excited he did a favorite of mine, The Unkown Soldier!!!! I never thought I'd have a Kubert sketch. Thanks again guys, and of course to Mr. Kubert.

Metamorpho, from the DC style guide

Pencils and inks by Brett Breeding

Metamorpho is one of my favorite 'second tier' characters. I like the dynamic way Bredding depicts the use of his powers.

BTW Paul, I absolutely love that Kubert Unknown Soldier--WOW!
