Bob Layton Iron Man. I asked Bob to incorporate both Tony Stark and Iron Man. He chose to reinterpret a cover--fine with me. Good experience.

Yes, I am very happy. The wife was miffed at the price at first, but once she saw the live piece she was/is cool with it.
Edit: It was very reasonably priced, its just my wife and I value things differently.

Nice piece Derek. An Iron Man by Layton is definitely on my "commissions to get" list but I keep finding other things to get first!

Brian -
that's a great piece! I like those simple shots much better than when Hembeck re-draws classic covers.

I've read Andrew's comment over and over and I still can't make any sense out of it. Can someone explain what he's trying to say???*
*This is an attempt by me to be funny. I really do understand what Andrew is saying. Fred's cover redos are among my very favorite possibilities available in the comic art collecting hobby....in fact, I'm waiting for one right now!

Joe -
I just think more Hembeck goodness comes out when he does his own thing. My preference; nothing against the "re-draws", and no slight to his talents.
And when you get your Hembeck art, PLEASE make sure you post it here.
