Even though I'm not a Mephisto fan at all, that's still a great looking piece.
The flaming signature "ignited" a laugh from me too.

Thanks Corey, my memory isn't so faulty after all!
I don't think I've seen him at any of the local conventions though. I did get to
see Michael Allred at a very small convention in Eugene once. The first
comics celebrity I ever saw. He was a really nice guy...very strong too. I
remember thinking "Since when do Comic Artists look like Arnold
Schwarzenegger?!" . My only lament....wish I had known who Madman was at
the time! (doh!)

Thank you JB, when I saw the Ghost Rider in Wayne's commission I knew I had to get one with him in it. This defiantly could belong as a cover to a Doctor Strange or Ghost Rider cover. VERY PLEASED with this one.

Glad you like it, Shaun. It was fun -- especially since
the whole image formed in my head almost the
instant Jim sent me the request. I love when that
happens!

Love the Mephisto and the bodies melted into the ground supporting him. Keep this up and you'll have drawn Dr. Strange and Ghost Rider more in commissions than you did in actual comics.

I wondered what happened to this policy. It seems like it has been quite awhile since the credit line has been shown on the commissions. For the record, I don't mind if a "credit line" is added to my Spider-Man/Man-Thing commission.
Also, I know some of the commissions that do have credit lines have already changed hands and no longer belong to the original commissioner...

A side note, some of you may find interesting or amusing, or both.When I was about 9 years old, for my birthday my parents bought be the Visible Man model, by Renwal. I became instantly fascinated with the human skeleton, and the skull in particular. I studied that skull -- slightly large than the end of your thumb -- from every conceivable angle. Then, three years later, my grandparents bought me the Visible Head for another birthday, and at last I had a life-sized skull. The end result of this is that from very early on, I could draw skulls in fairly accurate detail from almost any perspective. Before I could properly model the human head, in fact, I could draw skulls. One day, struggling to get a head to work, I had the idea of drawing a skull first, and putting the skin on after. Worked perfectly. So much so, in fact, that for a while I had DRAW A SKULL, DUMMY! written on my drawingboard, as a reminder.

One of the reasons I more or less dropped the
credit. I didn't feel like having updates turn into an
ongoing project!

JB,
I like that your Ghost Rider does indeed look like a flaming skull. In some of the early Ghost Rider stories (I recently finished Essential GR vol 1) the artists did not draw it as a realistic skull. What bothered me even more was when dialog within the stories would have people commenting to Johnny Blaze on his "funny, skull mask." That would totally take me out of the story and make me shake my head. There is no way a guy with a flaming skull head should be mistaken for a mask!
